The short version: we collect only what you type into our forms, we use it to answer you and to run the listing or photo you sent, and we don't sell it to anyone.
Who we are
PickwickLakeGuide.com is published by VaLeigh Cove LLC, Savannah, Tennessee. You can reach us at info@pickwicklakeguide.com.
What we collect
- Forms. When you list a property, ask about advertising, send a photo or ask a question, we receive what you typed: your name, email, phone if you gave it, the details of your property or business, and any photo you attached. Forms are handled by Netlify, our hosting company, which stores submissions for us.
- Visits. Like every website, our host keeps standard server logs (your IP address, browser type, pages requested). We do not run advertising trackers and we do not use cookies to follow you around the web.
- Weather. The "On the lake today" strip asks the National Weather Service for a forecast. That request goes to weather.gov and is covered by their privacy policy, not ours.
How we use it
- To reply to you and to set up the listing, sponsor spot or photo you sent.
- To publish what you asked us to publish. A property listing shows the contact details you chose to include. A photo may appear on this site with your name as the credit if you asked for one.
- To send you an occasional email about your listing or about the site. You can ask us to stop at any time.
We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We share it only with the services that run the site (hosting and email) and when the law requires.
Your choices
Email us to see what we hold about you, to correct it, to remove a listing or photo, or to have your information deleted. We'll do it promptly.
Children
This site is for adults buying, selling, boating and traveling. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
